November Festivals in and Around Orlando

The cooler air, lower humidity, and infrequent rains make November the ideal festival season for much of Central Florida. Orlando is certainly no exception. We’ve put together a list of all of the fun fall festivities taking place out and about in the City Beautiful, so you can make the most of the gorgeous November weather and local culture.

Orlando’s Fiesta in the Park is an exciting celebration of Orlando’s creative side. The annual art fair hosts hundreds of artists and vendors each year showcasing all kinds of local arts and crafts. Vendors, artists, and crafters offer up everything from handcrafted jewelry and artwork to niche food supplies like artisan jerky or flavored gluten-free pasta. The event also features live music and a large play area for children. Bring your kids, bring your pets, and come enjoy the free festival!

The Orlando Japan Festival is held every year in November. Guests can look forward to authentic Japanese music and dance, as well as a wide variety of Japanese food and drinks. The goal each year is to capture the feel of a local festival in Japan, but here on this side of the world. Details about this year’s celebration are still pending. Stay tuned to the festival’s Facebook page and official website for more information, hopefully coming soon!

Maitland Rotary Art Festival

17-18 November 2018 | www.maitlandrotaryartfestival.com

Since 1976, the Rotary Club of Maitland has held an annual art festival, where artists and art enthusiasts alike are invited out for a night of entertainment and buying or selling fine art. Artists wishing to be featured at the festival must first pass a selection by jury, which helps to ensure that the quality of the art at this festival is the best of the best. Live entertainment is provided throughout the weekend by Performing Arts of Maitland. Food and drink vendors are available to cater to attendees.

Veterans Day Parade

10 November 2018 | http://www.cityoforlando.net/veteransparade/

Each year, the City of Orlando hosts a Veterans Day parade through the streets of downtown to honor the men and women who have fought courageously for our country. This year’s parade will showcase floats, marching bands, local ROTC units, and both active-duty and veteran military from every branch and numerous different conflicts. The city is dedicating this year’s parade to honoring those brave soldiers who have received Purple Hearts, as well as their families that have supported them every step of the way.
